She recently took the Transdisciplinary Capstone course at Unity College with Professor Richard Hudnett.
"Before Unity, I was a student at two universities that were not the right fit for me. One for animal behavior and the other for nursing. I was also a CNA and a dog groomer before my time at Unity. I did not know what path I wanted to go down until I found Unity.
I chose Unity College because of its highly rated-specialized class studies. I’ve had a passion for animals for a long time, and it was so exciting to learn from faculty with great knowledge. I also loved that I could mainly focus most of my studies on my major rather than random classes that I would not use in my career later. In addition to this highly regarded program, this program offered me the ability to work full time and allow me still be able to succeed in school.
I just finished my last class for my undergrad in my Bachelor of Science in Animal Health and Behavior. While at Unity, I was hoping to gain some knowledge about different aspects of different kinds of animals. Along with that, I was able to build solid personal relationships with those who shared the same love as I did, which is something I also got to experience
For all my classes I have enjoyed my professors as they were understanding of my questions. Courses such as Animal Behavior: Evolution, Ecology, and Social Behavior as well as Transdisciplinary Capstone had great professors and coursework that I was extremely interesting.
My future career goals are to grow within the field of working with primates. I am very excited to be moving to Indiana and starting my career. I received a full-time job at the Indianapolis Zoo within their ape and forest department. I also would love to help as many animals as possible."
