Join OHTM’s one-of-a-kind STEM Fest! 

Here you will meet local STEM professionals and interact with unique STEM activities involving air pressure, drone cages, green screens and robotics! The list of participants is still growing! Visit owlshead.org for more information.

Official Event Sponsor: Central Maine Power

STEM professionals who will be participating:

• FAA STEM/AVSED

Will have an indoor drone cage with mini drones, talking about drone awareness and drone safety

• Children’s Museum and Theartre of Maine

Will be demonstrating air pressure using marshmallows

• Strand Theater

Green Screen with camera to allow people to see themselves in STEM History (flying a plane, sitting in a space shuttle, driving a classic car)

• St. George School

Educators will be offering SPHERO Robots to interact with

• Girl Scouts of Maine

Will have a booth with Math in Nature themes

• Fire/EMS Department of Rockland

Demonstration safe rigging during emergencies

• Oceans Wide 

Adventures in Education through Ocean Exploration

• Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry

Bringing insight on careers housed in the Bureau of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources

• Reenactment of WW1 Technology

WWI reenactment display in Millstone Park. Reenactors will be discussing living conditions, the soldiers outfits and technology they had available to them during WWI

•Douglass Dynamics Offering a snowplow demonstration

• OHTM Demonstrations

Energy Room demonstrations and Automotive Workshop will open for tours and conversations• OHTM’s STEM Education Center Educators

Educators will be on hand with activities, and interactives for the public to participate in.
