Unity College Distance Education student Tory | Unity College
Tory recently took the Animal Training course at Unity College with Professor Elizabeth Parker.
Before Unity College, I served my country in the United States military. Now that I am out, I can focus on doing what I love: taking care of animals. I currently reside in California and chose Unity due to the flexibility and the online availability to take my classes. The closest school for me to do anything with animals is over 100 miles away from me.
Being a parent, that is not feasible to travel away daily, so Unity allows me to stay here and still get my degree. I am majoring in Animal Health and Behavior in hopes of one day working for the USDA as a Veterinary Technician. This also helps me take better care of my animals, and I was able to apply the skills from one of my most recent classes, Animal Training and Care Class. This helped me with more enrichment practices for the welfare of my animals on my farm.
