The Saint Joseph's College women's alpine skiing team picked up their first win of the 2023 season with nine place points and a 3:38.85 aggregate time in a slalom race at Lost Valley on Friday afternoon.
With all three of the Monks' scoring racers finishing in the top eight, St. Joe's edged UMaine-Farmington, which notched 15 place points and a 3:42.62 composite time.
THE RUNDOWN:
- Sophomore Maddie Zordan (New Hartford, Conn.) paced the Monks and finished third overall with a 1:11.51 (35.88, 35.63) effort
- Junior Courtney Pingree (Marblehead, Mass.) placed fourth with a 1:11.99 (36.39, 35.60) performance
- Junior Maeghan Perkins (Turner, Maine) was eighth (1:15.35, 37.67 – 37.68)
- Junior Erica Irvin (Windham, N.H.) posted a ninth-place finish (1:16.29, 39.06 – 37.23)
- Sophomore Lillian Souweine (Bangor, Maine) finished 16th (1:19.69, 39.93 – 39.76)
- Freshman Sienna Mack (Lincoln, N.H.) placed 20th (1:22.57, 40.89 – 41.68)
