At last night’s department meeting and training Deputy Jackson received a commendation for a Life Saving Award for his actions regarding a welfare check that occured on December 14th, 2022.
As a result of Deputy Jackson's quick response, immediate sound decision-making, and dedication to service, it is without any doubt that Deputy Jackson's actions saved a life this day.
The type of service and decision-making that Deputy Jackson displayed is in standing with the high level of service and professionalism that the Waldo County Sheriff's Office strives to achieve. His service was above and beyond the normal level of response and is greatly appreciated.
