NO THREATS have been made or reported in Damariscotta.
We are aware that there have been reports of active shooters threats at multiple Maine schools this morning.
Law enforcement officials across the state, have been responding to these threats, which have now been deemed to have been false (a hoax) by Maine State Police.
Damariscotta Police Chief Warlick is currently at the school as an additional precaution. Chief is in direct contact with school officials. Again, no threats have been made to any Damariscotta school building or town facility. We are monitoring the situation closely and taking every precaution to keep our community safe.
