Luke is working towards earning a Bachelor's in Marine Biology and Sustainable Aquaculture.
"When I was a kid I always wanted to become a Marine Biologist. Jacques Cousteau was my hero.
When I graduated high school I didn't have the grades to go to college, the money, or the athletic talent. In my day you had to have those to go to college. So, I did what any normal person would do I joined the workforce. I went through a lot of jobs, then I landed on being an Industrial Radiographer or Welding Inspector. I did that for 15 years until my physical limitations would no longer allow me to do that job.
Now I'm a janitor and I'm 40 years old. I live in Portland, Oregon, and one day I was just going through my phone and saw an ad for Unity, and with my kids grown and it just being me a light went off in my head and it said to me now is the time for you to finally do this. I did and here I am. Now that I've started on this track I'm not going to be satisfied without a Ph.D. behind my name.
