Welcome new Unity College student Jason

Jason is working towards earning a Bachelor's in Wildlife & Conservation.

"I currently work for California Fish and Wildlife. I work in the Feather River Fish Hatchery right on the Feather River in Oroville California. We spawn and raise chinook salmon along with steelhead. I’m currently located in Corning, California north of Chico.

I chose Unity College because I heard they had an amazing wildlife program. After doing research and finding out that they have one of the best Wildlife Conservation programs it became an easy decision. I am majoring in Wildlife Conservation with a concentration in Marine Biology and Sustainable Aquaculture. I’m hoping to get the best education I can from Unity College and to be well-rounded in Wildlife Conservation and Marine Biology.

My future career goals are to become a Fish Biologist and Wildlife Conservationist focusing on the preservation of the pacific northwest salmon and their habitat."
