Welcome new Unity College student Lauren!
Lauren is working towards earning a Bachelor's in Animal Health & Behavior.
"My name is Lauren Zimmer. I started at Unity in February and am working towards my Undergraduate Degree in Animal Health and Behavior. I have been in the animal welfare field for about 8 years and have previously attended trade school for Certificates in Veterinary Assisting and Canine Behavior.
I am located in Wisconsin and am currently working as a Foster Specialist at the Wisconsin Humane Society and founder of an avian rescue called Far From Home Inc. I hope to grow my career in the animal welfare field and start a program to affordably train service dogs for people with neurodiversity, like myself.
I chose Unity because of the awesome class structure and the ability to work remotely while continuing to work. I have many pets and they keep me motivated to learn more about the animals that co-exist with us in our everyday life!"
