Meet Unity College Student Morgan

094e

Morgan recently took the Judicial Procedure and Evidence Management course at Unity College with Professor Cailyn Green.

"I live in Ohio and had just graduated from Ohio Christian University with a Masters in Human Resource Management before enrolling at Unity College. I chose Unity for the great degree program offerings and accessibility of online coursework.

In the Judicial Procedure and Evidence Management course, I learned about more specific topics on judicial procedures. I learned how to proceed in a courtroom with evidence along with different ways we can obtain evidence for the courtroom and the case. This also includes what different evidential procedures can be; photography, technology, written statements, etc.

I believe I will be able to apply all of this in the future to any position I hold. Whether I am utilizing my skills for the courtroom, or not, it is vital to know what can be reviewed during judicial proceedings so that my job is done properly and with solid evidence on my end. If I should ever run into situations such as a crime scene, laws being broken by hunters, guests of the park, or even co-workers, I believe I am well educated on how to proceed properly. I also learned about the specifics according to the local and state laws. This knowledge will help me identify the best possible response per my company/local enforcement. I enjoyed the interactions with my professor and peers during this course. We are all supportive, and helpful to each other.

I hope to start a career as a park ranger within the national park system, eventually moving towards the west coast parks."
