Navigating the world as a person who identifies as LGBTQIA+ can be difficult and even impact one’s overall health. Feelings of isolation may cause anxiety, depression or self-harm, so it’s important to stay connected. That’s why the peer support centers at Maine Behavioral Healthcare offer a welcoming virtual community where individuals can share stories, discuss interests and support one another in living authentically. The LGBTQIA+ support group meets every Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. It’s free and participants 18+ are welcome to join at any time.
