Hannah is working towards earning a Bachelor's in Wildlife Conservation.
"My name is Hannah Larson and I live in Muskegon, Michigan!
Before starting at Unity, I had been working at a doggie daycare and boarding facility as well as volunteering at a wildlife, exotic, and wolfdog sanctuary. I was part of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) my junior and senior year of high school and loved learning how to help the animals and the environment.
I chose Unity College because I wanted to work with wildlife, helping conserve the species in my state. I have been looking into applying to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to be a conservation officer trainee, but first I wanted to broaden my opportunities with a degree. Unity offered exactly what I wanted! I am earning my Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation.
I grew up hunting and fishing, and it truly defines me as a person. I'm a huge animal lover, and I understand the need for managing populations and taking care of the local wildlife through funding and herd/flock management.
My goal in the future is the work as a conservation officer, upholding wildlife laws and regulations. Another goal is to help with research and habitat/animal management through the Department of Natural Resources."
