Of the 1,269 people living in Damariscotta in 2019, 51.2 percent (650) were women and 48.8 percent (619) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Mid Coast Today.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 323-to-288. In the 65 and over age range, there were 243 females and 206 males.
